BVCA COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Last Updated: October 1, 2022

The goal for this document is to provide health and safety guidelines for participants (audience, volunteers, or attendees) to help ensure the safety of everyone engaging in BV Concert Association’s (BVCA) outdoor or indoor events.

As of October 1, 2022, all restrictions in BC with regards to COVID-19 have been lifted. If there are any changes, the BVCA will refer to government health and safety advice, with reference to: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restrictions

BVCA Protocol for ALL Events:

While there are no longer restriction requirements for events including audience capacity, masking, or vaccination status, we ask that people planning on attending BVCA events adhere to respectful health and safety measures.

For example, anyone who is experiencing symptoms, has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 5 days, or has been in contact with anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, should choose to stay home. This extends to our staff and volunteers. Tickets may be transferred to another patron.

Sanitizing best practices will be followed by all staff and volunteers. Hand sanitizer will be provided at clearly marked stations with easy access for attendees. Cleaning and disinfecting of specific equipment, door handles, and other high touch surfaces before events will take place.

COVID-19 Specific Protocol

For every event during the COVID-19 pandemic, BVCA will take the following precautions:

  • Watch for symptoms / stay home of you feel sick

  • Attendees should remain at home if they are feeling sick. They are also responsible for informing BVCA of any COVID-19-related concerns before, during, and after the event.

  • Any participant experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 before or on the day of BVCA event should stay home. Tickets may be transferred to another patron.

As a preventative measure, watch for the following symptoms:

  • coughing

  • runny nose

  • sore throat

  • fatigue

Masks

As there are no longer restrictions requiring masks, attendees are free to choose whether or not to wear one to a BVCA event. BVCA still recommends that participants who are not fully vaccinated (14 days after their second dose), have been exposed recently to COVID-19, or are immunocompromised wear masks.

BVCA will provide masks for all participants / audience – available upon request.
